Orlando Beach Weddings

Your guests live in seven different states. Half of them hate connecting flights. A few have kids who'd revolt if they couldn't see Mickey Mouse. You want a beautiful Florida wedding without forcing everyone to navigate obscure airports and two-hour drives. Welcome to Orlando—where "destination wedding" meets "actually convenient for everyone."

Orlando might be 60 miles from the nearest beach, but it's earned its place on our destination list for one simple reason: it's the most convenient wedding destination in Florida for guests flying in from anywhere in the country.

With the highest concentration of hotels, restaurants, and activities of any Florida destination—plus two major airports with direct flights from virtually everywhere—Orlando offers logistical ease that beach destinations simply can't match. And while you won't have ocean waves, you will have lakeside beauty, botanical gardens, and tropical resorts.

“We had 55 guests from all over the country. Orlando made it easy—everyone found cheap direct flights, the hotel had something for everyone, and we did our ceremony at Cocoa Beach (just an hour away) before coming back for the reception. Best decision we made.”

— Emily & Michael, October 2025

Why Orlando?

Central Location, Two Coasts

Orlando sits roughly equidistant between Florida's Atlantic coast (Cocoa Beach, ~60 min) and Gulf Coast (Clearwater/St. Pete, ~90 min). Both options are easily accessible for an Orlando-based wedding group.

Theme Park + Beach Combo

If your guests are visiting for a theme park trip, adding a beach ceremony creates a truly unforgettable Florida experience. We handle all the beach logistics so the combination is seamless.

Perfect for Destination Groups

Orlando has the most hotel inventory in the US — excellent options for all budgets. Guests can fly into MCO (one of the country's best-connected airports) and access both beach coasts easily.

The Guest Experience

Your wedding isn't just a ceremony — it's a destination experience for everyone who travels to celebrate with you.

Theme Parks

  • Walt Disney World (four parks plus Disney Springs)
  • Universal Orlando Resort (including The Wizarding World of Harry Potter)

World Orlando

  • LEGOLAND Florida (30 minutes from downtown)

Frequently Asked Questions

Which beach is best for an Orlando-based wedding?
It depends on your preference. Cocoa Beach (Atlantic side) is 60 minutes east and has great surf-town character. Clearwater and St. Pete Beach (Gulf side) are 90 minutes west with calmer water and spectacular sunsets. We can advise based on your group size and vision.
Can you coordinate the beach ceremony for an Orlando wedding party?
Absolutely — this is exactly what we do. We handle the ceremony location, permit, officiant, photography, and decor at any of our Gulf or Atlantic coast locations, regardless of where your group is staying.
What airports do guests fly into for an Orlando wedding?
Orlando International (MCO) is one of the most connected airports in the US with direct flights from nearly everywhere. It’s the natural hub for an Orlando destination wedding group.
Is it easy for guests to get from Orlando to the beach on ceremony day?
Yes — we recommend renting a van or small coach for the wedding party. The drive is easy and scenic. We can also recommend transportation companies in our welcome packet.
What’s the best time of year for an Orlando area beach wedding?
November through April offers the most comfortable beach weather in both directions. March through May is a sweet spot — schools are often on spring break so it’s easier for guests to travel, and the weather is gorgeous.
